Finding focus. One point. One moment. One breath.

I'm Zeba Amina
A Sport and Exercise Psychologist in Training, and a former Junior International Tennis player.

I picked up a tennis racket at the age of six, and it quickly became a big part of my life. I went on to compete across India and internationally, including at the ITF Junior level, experiencing the many sides of competitive sport along the way.

I’m interested in what happens beneath performance: how we think, feel, behave and make sense of our experiences. Through that deeper understanding of ourselves, we can begin to find ways of responding differently, growing through challenges and becoming a little better each day.

I now work with athletes on the mental side of the game, supporting them to become stronger, more self-aware versions of themselves — in sport and beyond.

I’ve felt the excitement of competing, the pressure of performing, the highs of winning and the difficult days when things just don’t seem to come together. Somewhere along the way, I became just as curious about what was happening in my mind as what was happening on the court.

What is Sports Psychology?

Sport psychology is about understanding the mental side of sport while supporting both performance and overall wellbeing. It explores how we think, feel and behave, and how these can shape our experiences in sport. Whether it’s navigating pressure, building confidence, staying focused or working through setbacks, sport psychology can help athletes develop skills to navigate these challenges.

What can a Sport Psychologist help with?

There isn’t one set list of things that bring someone to sport psychology. It can be about performance, wellbeing, or simply wanting to understand yourself better. Some areas we can explore include: Confidence · Anxiety · Pressure · Focus · Motivation · Goals · Setbacks · Recovery · Wellbeing · Identity · Communication · Teamwork.

What age groups do you work with?

I work with children (preferably aged 6+), young people and adults, across all sports and stages of participation. The approach is adapted to the individual and their needs

How many sessions do I need?

There’s no fixed number. It depends on what you’d like to work on and what feels useful for you. Some people benefit from a few focused sessions, while others prefer ongoing support or check-in sessions.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes. Online sessions are available, making support accessible wherever you’re based.
